Feed Request

You will place a feed request with Pay Fusion via one of two avenues:

  1. Fill out a feed request form via this link.
  2. File a feed request via the Pay Fusion portal.

Credential and Data Collection

For the vast majority of feeds, we will need to obtain three pieces of data and/or credentials

  1. Access/credentials to your HRIS Platform (UKG/iSolved/etc)

    1. If you are a UKG Ready reseller, you can use either of these guides to set us up with API access. Keep in mind: we should be set up as service accounts!

    Allows us to connect to all clients.

    Pros: Only have to set up once.

    Cons: Technically less secure in that we have access to all groups.

    Per-Client API User Guide

    Allows us to connect to just one client.

    Pros: Technically more secure in that we only have access to a single group.

    Cons: Must set up each and every time we connect to another one of your clients.

  2. Access/credentials to connect to the specific piece(s) of data from the aforementioned HRIS Platform (UKG/iSolved/etc)

    1. This is most often something like a saved report or a data export.
    2. In the best case scenarios, we won’t need you to do anything here because there will be an endpoint that the HRIS Platform has created, allowing us to get exactly the data we need!
  3. Access/credentials to the vendor’s SFTP endpoint and/or API.

    1. In over 95% of benefit-related feeds, the vendor will use an SFTP endpoint.
      1. This is an actual calculation we’ve carried out on over 100 feeds!
    2. Please Note: If we’re connected to the vendor via email, we’re more than happy to explain our needs here so that you don’t have to worry about what exactly to ask for.
  4. The vendor’s file specifications so we know what to build and how to format the data.

Connectivity Validation

This is the next step after collecting the credentials to both the platform storing our client’s data as well as the platform we’re sending data to. This is to ensure we’re connected as soon as possible so that we can start building!

Data Validation

We will then validate whether or not we have the right pieces of data that we need to carry out the feed. Most of the time, there will be no follow up here. Every now and again we’ll reach back out to your team and request something.

Examples include:

  1. A new field in a given dataset
  2. A piece of information missing for a specific member(s)
  3. An additional dataset altogether

Feed Build

Pay Fusion will then focus on building the feed per the vendor’s file specifications.
